These rules apply in chat, in voice and on every server channel.
Respect
Treat everyone with respect. Toxicity, flaming, harassment and bullying get you sanctioned, even if someone provoked you.
Offensive skins and names
No offensive, discriminatory or sexually explicit skins or nicknames: the staff may ask you to change them right away.
Impersonating others
Passing yourself off as another player, a creator or a public figure to fool people, for example with a near-identical nickname or the same skin, is forbidden.
Privacy
Sharing other people's personal data without their explicit consent is forbidden: real name, location, social profiles, photos or any other identifying information.
Inappropriate content
No insults, no discrimination of any kind and no links to NSFW or illegal content.
Protection of minors
Any predatory or inappropriate behaviour towards minors leads to an immediate permanent ban and, where appropriate, a report to the authorities.
No politics, religion or propaganda
Leave politics, religion and any divisive discussion unrelated to the game out of it. No propaganda of any kind.
Your progress has to come from how you play. Cheaters ruin the game for everyone else.
Cheats and hacks
Modified clients that give unfair advantages are forbidden: fly, speed, killaura, reach, aimbot, anti-knockback, auto-patterns and any other modification not on the list of allowed mods.
Auto-clickers and macros
Macros that automate game actions and auto-clickers are forbidden. Only scripts that perform a single action per single key press are allowed.
Griefing
Ruining other players' game on purpose is forbidden: destroying builds, stealing from claimed bases, stream sniping and any other form of sabotage. Griefing unclaimed structures is allowed.
Exploits and bugs
Report any bug or glitch to the staff right away: exploiting them for your own advantage is punishable. Even if the bug wasn't known yet, the staff can remove or restore items, EuroKaksi, stats and progress gained through it, to put the game back in balance. In serious cases, an account rollback. Our advice stays the same: report it. Or at least don't get caught.
Alternative accounts
Using secondary accounts to dodge bans, mutes or other sanctions leads to a permanent ban of every account involved.
Leaderboards and milestones
Inflating your stats is forbidden: killing alt accounts or willing players to climb the leaderboards, getting yourself killed on purpose to help someone, selling items between your own accounts to unlock the auction house milestones. The staff wipes stats and milestones gained this way, and anyone banned during a competition gets no prizes.
Insiding
Outside your team or clan, you answer for who you trust. If you let someone into your claim and they rob you, that's a legitimate move: the staff doesn't settle disputes born from misplaced trust.
Deals and scams
Trades, payments, loans and promises between players aren't guaranteed by the staff: breaking your word isn't an offence and the staff won't give anything back. Who you trust is up to you.
Accomplices
Anyone who knowingly takes part in an offence or profits from it is sanctioned like the person who committed it: keeping watch, lending your account, accepting items obtained with cheats or bugs while knowing where they came from. Not reporting isn't an offence; cashing in is.
No favours from the staff
Asking the staff for any kind of favour that could give you an in-game advantage is forbidden: gifted items, resources, teleports to convenient spots or any other favour not available to every player. It's a survival server: what you need, you earn.
Let's keep the map tidy and pleasant for everyone.
Builds
Half-chopped trees (floating trees) and pointless abandoned columns or pillars are forbidden. Otherwise, build with whatever material you like.
Obscene or offensive builds
Obscene, offensive or discriminatory builds are forbidden, same as in chat. The staff removes them and sanctions whoever built them.
Digging and terrain
You can dig holes, pits or reshape the terrain, as long as there's a clear purpose: a build, a farm, a perimeter. Don't leave random, abandoned holes around.
Bridges
If you build a bridge, leave enough room for boats to pass.
Abandoned claims
Littering the map with unused claims is forbidden. The staff may remove abandoned claims without notice.
Claims used to block
Using claims to box in someone else's base, block a path or deny access to an area is forbidden. A claim is there to protect what's yours.
Staff structures
Claiming or damaging structures built or left unclaimed by the staff is forbidden. The staff leaves them open on purpose, for everyone.
Farms are allowed. We only ask for common sense and respect towards other players.
Mind the lag
When you build a farm or a contraption, think about its impact on the server. Building contraptions meant to cause lag, or systems so big or complex they slow the game down for others, is forbidden. The staff can step in on any contraption that causes problems.
If a farm causes lag
We warn you first: the staff removes or scales down the farm, with no sanctions. If you rebuild it the same way ignoring the instructions, we remove it again and this time there's a sanction.
Flying machines
Flying machines are forbidden, always. Even the small one that "doesn't bother anyone".
Creative farms
Players with access to creative mode may not build farms of any kind that could cause lag or supply resources to survival players. You're in creative: you don't need them.
PvP is part of the game, but play it with common sense.
PvP areas
PvP is on in every unprotected area of the server, including the PvP arena in the crater north of the spawn. Respect the areas where it's off.
Targeting
Repeatedly going after the same player, alone or in a group, with the sole aim of discouraging them or driving them off the server is forbidden. PvP has to stay fun for both sides.
Illegal items
In PvP you can use items you can't get in survival, even if it's not very honourable.
Loot
Picking up the loot of a player you defeated in PvP is fair. If you give it back, that's a courtesy.
Keep the chat readable for everyone.
Chat quality
Spam, repeated messages, random characters, begging and any attempt to get around the automatic chat filters are forbidden.
Advertising and creators
We support community members who want to grow their channel. Promotion must always be tied to our server, though:
- You can share channels, videos or streams only if the creator made content on this server.
- The content you link must be about our server.
- Don't advertise excessively or repeatedly.
- Don't link creators or content that break any of our rules.
If you want to become a verified creator, open a ticket on our Discord and we'll talk it through.
No dating
Avoid romantic or inappropriate advances towards other players. This is a Minecraft server, not a dating app.
Language
In public chats use Italian or English, so the staff can moderate the conversations.
Kaksiland is based in the European Union and follows its laws.
No IRL trading
Trading, selling or buying items, accounts or in-game advantages for real money is forbidden. Even talking about it gets you sanctioned on the spot.
EU law
Wherever you play from, European Union law applies on the server and the website.
Data protection (GDPR)
We handle your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any request about your data, open a ticket. Details are in the privacy policy.
The staff assigns ranks based on how well you know the game and how much they trust you. You can't ask for them: the staff weighs each case on its own and its decision is final.
General guidelines
- Pro: above-average knowledge of the game.
- Builder: outstanding building skills shown in survival.
- Master: exclusive badge paired with Builder and Pro, for those who excel above the rest.
- Admin, Dev and Mod: players of proven skill and reliability, at the staff's sole discretion.
- Owner and Koksi: exclusive ranks, out of reach.
Rankdown
The staff can take a rank away at any time, if it has a valid reason. That decision is final too.
The staff decides sanctions; you can report players and appeal.
Staff decisions
Staff decisions are final. The staff may also act on behaviour not listed here, if it judges it harmful to the community.
Rule changes
The rules can change at any time; we announce the important changes on Discord. New rules aren't retroactive: if you did something while it was allowed, you won't be sanctioned. The staff can still remove or scale back the advantage you got from it: items, farms, stats.
Rule-sharking
Using the rules as a tool to gain advantages, pressure staff or players, or find formal loopholes is forbidden. The staff decides how to interpret the rules when they're ambiguous, and that decision can't be appealed.
Progressive sanctions
MinorOfficial warning (first notice)
ModerateMute or temporary ban
RepeatMute or ban twice as long
SeriousPermanent ban
The staff weighs honest mistakes case by case, and doesn't always sanction them.
Impersonating staff
Pretending to be a staff member for any purpose is forbidden and leads to immediate sanctions.
Reports
To report a player, open a ticket on our Discord. Evidence isn't mandatory, but your chances are much better if you attach a video: complete, uncut, ideally full screen with date and time visible. A screenshot alone doesn't say much.
Appeals
If you think a sanction is unfair, open a ticket on our Discord. Appeal calmly and in good faith: if you get aggressive with the staff, you lose the right to appeal.
